Last Thursday night we went to dubai for a bff bonding as well as gown fitting. But since I can’t leave hubby behind so I tagged him along though I felt guilty cause he waited all day until we finished shopping. Girls will always be girls. Lesson learned to hubby (hehehe).  The fun thing is bff malot got us a studio room in Savoy suites hotel apartment for a night stay.

The entrance

This was dinner courtesy of bff aning.

Our room -  I soo love the room and the curtain, so cozy and romantic feel.

I liked the painting against the wall.

Lastly, Hubby & I

The bathroom is big enough, you can even sleep inside… hahaha. I was even thinking copying the bathroom design.(photo courtesy of savoy)

Amenities and basic appliances are also included like hair dyer, water heater, washing machine, ref, microwave oven, utensils and frying and cooking pans. I love their interior and the painting in the wall is so captivating.

Not just that, we were also entitled for breakfast for two at their coffee lounge. What a great value for money. I recommend it.

Sorry for the bunch of pics. I guess I’m just overwhelmed with my new camera so I got so carried away teehee! Anyways, early last year a friend of mine recommended me a book series titled the bride quartet by Nora Roberts. Since she knew I love anything about weddings so she let me barrowed hers. I sooo love every story, especially the character of Parker Brown.

The story revolves around four ladies named Mackensie, Emmalyn, Laurel and Parker. They’ve been friends since childhood and their favorite pastime during those days were playing bride and groom. To cut the story short they all been fascinated with weddings since then. Mac a photographer, Emma a florist, Laurel the pastry chef and of course everything wouldn’t be possible w/out Parker the wedding planner. This series reminds me of my bff.  Janice being a photo enthusiast, Emmylou the make up artist, Rachael  the caterer and of course yours truly  the wedding planner.

Anyways, if you’re into a hopeless romantic kind of novel, try this book. I’m sure you will love it!

Few weeks ago we went to Dubai to meet my friend’s haute couture, Jules Quirante. His shop is located in Rigga, just a block away from the metro station. At 1st look of the shop, I thought all of his designs are for Arabic ladies only but mind you as we talked, he has Filipina brides as well. My friend told me that she saw other designs when she went there before, so without any questions asked we gave her a go signal.

The design for my friend is very simple yet very elegant. We are all excited to see the outcome soon. Aside from he’s a kabayan, we speak the same language too which is bisaya kaya medyo palagay din ang loob namin.  And when it’s time to ask for discount, he gave us a good price since we are Kabayans.

If anyone out there interested, call or email

The Perfect Palette

Sage green & chocolate brown are the colors for my friend’s upcoming wedding. So excited with the combination because 1st, green is my favorite color and second, I believe brown will go hand in hand w/ green. I think the combination is pleasant to the eyes too.

How lovely isn’t it?

But I’m constantly reminding my friend to choose the right shades that go along especially that it’s an outdoor wedding. Sooo excited with their wedding by the way. Hehehe

Dahilayan Escape

I will go for it! No doubts. No second thoughts. I just want to experience what it feels like to fly like superman.  Yes, it’s an extreme dream came true at Dahilayan Zipline – The longest zipline in Asia at 840 meters long.

It was hubby’s birthday treat so we headed out with his family… Here’s our pics….

They also have a forest park where you can find models of different kinds of animals, as big as the real one.

I really love the flying experience. It seems like when you’re up there all your stress are left behind.

What to expect:

  1. When you plan to go on weekend, you have to be there as early as 8 am because the line gets longer as the clock ticks.
  2. Since the portion of the road is still rough, expect 1:30 hrs drive from the city.
  3. They offer 3 rides for adults at Php600.00 only, 2 rides for kids at Php500.00 only.
  4. They also have sorbit… this ride is really fun.
  5. And lastly for kids, horse back riding for P120.00/hr.

It’s good to be back.

As I woke up this morning it felt really nice, because it was the first hassle free day since we got back from the Philippines. I slept well which means back to normal life after the storm we encountered few days back.

A very amusing email welcomed me at my office pc that read, “Can you please confirm if ur still using the same number cause I was calling u lately and no one answered… we really appreciate if you could help us on planning our big day”.

It’s like a dream come true, to help brides-to-be or soon to be wed couples to plan their wedding. I’m more than willing to help.

I’m about to explode! Not because of fire crackers left from New Year’s Eve, but because I have a lot of stories to tell. But before that, a 2010 wrap up.

A lot of people, places and events that will always be a part our lives. Of course! I thank God for making the year the most memorable. Let’s start the ball rolling…

1. Two weddings last year, so I went home twice. First was ate Michelle’s last January. Second was the wedding of the year, Dec. 22, 2010, my wedding.

2. HE gave the right man for me… and it was the most amazing. He came at the right time and place.

3. Without any question, my parents whole heartedly accepted Romel and my decision and gave us their blessing. I salute them for that!

4. My additional parents, sis and bros, Romel’s family and relatives for accepting me as their own. My pleasure to be a Bacarro… hehehe

 5. My gratitude to my BFF (Rachael, Janice and Emmylou… not according to height) for gracing the event all the way from Dubai.

6. To Kuya Lito & Ate Oyet for the photo/video coverage, Kuya Rex & Ate Michelle for the cake, Jenni for the Choir, Bff for the giveaways & invites, and for all of you who supported us in any form. My heartfelt thanks….

7. Of course, to Ate Yolly for introducing Romel into my life.

8. To all the suppliers who made our wedding a dream came true….Team Jaypee, Slystudios, Fabulous events, Ramirez Cakes and Pastry, Ceramikhaus of Cebu,  CDI design and of course Bohol Tropics Resort…

By the way, we just encountered the 1st ever storm in our married life… I will tell you how we made thru it….. stay tune!
