Mango Haul

Whenever I feel down and low, one of the most effective stress-buster for me is shopping. I believe it also works for you. I was out last Thursday to check the Call it Spring wedge which has been on my wish list but sad to say, they don’t have my size. So I got an office shoes instead. ( Shoes on a separate post)

Passing by a Mango shop, I went gaga over the big SALE sign, and so definitely I went in. Imagine the energetic women all over the shop.

Here’s what I got:

Mango ethnic printed blouse. I love the soft material and print on this one… and it fitted well on me… more love

Retro style blouse w/ a tie shirt collar, I was attracted with the collar and retro print, though I don’t know yet what to pair it with.

Mango bowling bag – comes in 3 colors. I played safe, went for the off white.

Aren’t they lovely? Can’t wait to wear them all.

Last Thursday night we went to dubai for a bff bonding as well as gown fitting. But since I can’t leave hubby behind so I tagged him along though I felt guilty cause he waited all day until we finished shopping. Girls will always be girls. Lesson learned to hubby (hehehe).  The fun thing is bff malot got us a studio room in Savoy suites hotel apartment for a night stay.

Our room -  I soo love the room and the curtain, so cozy and romantic feel.

I liked the painting against the wall.

Lastly, Hubby & I

The bathroom is big enough, you can even sleep inside… hahaha. I was even thinking copying the bathroom design.(photo courtesy of savoy)

Amenities and basic appliances are also included like hair dyer, water heater, washing machine, ref, microwave oven, utensils and frying and cooking pans. I love their interior and the painting in the wall is so captivating.

Not just that, we were also entitled for breakfast for two at their coffee lounge. What a great value for money. I recommend it.

Chicken BBQ

I’ve been craving for chicken bbq lately and I can’t think of any place that has one other than Chowking at the back of Crowne Plaza Hamdan. So last weekend we decided to try theirs.

For starter we’ve ordered ???… I’m sorry I totally forgot the name.

My Chowking chicken bbq. I love it swear!!!

And of course hubby’s Nasi Goreng.

Indeed a great food they have but for the service, let’s just say it’s not worth leaving a tip.

Here’s the rating (5 is the highest, 1 is the lowest)

The Bride Quartet

Sorry for the bunch of pics. I guess I’m just overwhelmed with my new camera so I got so carried away teehee! Anyways, early last year a friend of mine recommended me a book series titled the bride quartet by Nora Roberts. Since she knew I love anything about weddings so she let me barrowed hers. I sooo love every story, especially the character of Parker Brown.

The story revolves around four ladies named Mackensie, Emmalyn, Laurel and Parker. They’ve been friends since childhood and their favorite pastime during those days were playing bride and groom. To cut the story short they all been fascinated with weddings since then. Mac a photographer, Emma a florist, Laurel the pastry chef and of course everything wouldn’t be possible w/out Parker the wedding planner. This series reminds me of my bff.  Janice being a photo enthusiast, Emmylou the make up artist, Rachael  the caterer and of course yours truly  the wedding planner.

Anyways, if you’re into a hopeless romantic kind of novel, try this book. I’m sure you will love it!

WIMK: Banana pancake

This is a very late post, actually, I totally forgot about the pics. I just remembered it when I browsed my hubby’s Iphone days ago. It makes me crave for banana & strawberry pancakes.

I’m sorry for the poor quality of pictures. Hopefully on my next post, I’ll come up with a better one.

Chinoy Haven

I’ve been super duper busy lately, aside from my fulltime job w/ only 1 day off I’m up to something that I can’t tell you guys right now but I will soon. I’m really excited about this venture because this would be my 1st time ever! Anyway 2 days ago was our anniversary as bf/gf and hubby was so sweet he brought me flowers.

Up to the last minute we can’t decide where to dine. We really wanted to go to CuiSine at Fairmont hotel but that would be too far from our place. I was searching for any Japanese or Chinese cuisine nearby but all I know was either Taiki or Chinoy Haven in Al Ain palace. And so we ended up in Chinoy Haven since It was hubby’s 1st time on that resto.

For starter we have stir fry noodles w/ vegetable.

We have calamari and so far it’s the best dipping I had.

We also ordered sisig.

Lastly our mixed fried rice

My outfit for the day

What’s good about the resto was they also have live entertainment where you can request you’re fave love songs. And their food wasn’t that expensive. Indeed a great evening and happy anniversary to my hubby – u r the best!
